Try It Activities Completed:
pg. 22 Careers #4
pg. 59 All In the Family #4
Notes:
Girls made a special craft today. We had leftover trail mix and lemonade for snack. Then we played a pretending/guessing game about Careers. I learned that Alexis is actually in the 3rd grade and will therefore be bridging to Juniors. She would like to stay with our troop, though. This will be sort of complicated, as Junior badges have different requirements from Brownie Try Its, plus Juniors do 6 activities rather than 4, but Alexis proudly announced she's ready for the challenge. Additionally, Kiki is in Kindergarten. That means she'll be a Daisy. On a related note- I will be contacting LaThesea (Leader of the Daisy Troop that meets at our church) about her troop's bridging ceremony. When her Daisies cross the bridge to being Brownies, our troop will be there to welcome them. We will also send Alexis across the bridge and hopefully we'll be able to find some Juniors to greet her. More info. on the Bridging Ceremony will be available soon.
Assignments for the Week:
See the assignment options in the original post below.
Additional Notes:
Mikayla's grampa is no longer the Youth Director at our church. The position has been filled by Leroy Brown. We've not met him yet, but he's supposed to pop in Monday nights at 5:30 to unlock the doors and turn on the A/C, then come back at 7 for lock up. If ever he doesn't show- we are to go to the little house behind the church to get him.

pg. 22 Careers #2: Future Jobs Some jobs today didn't even exist many years ago (examples: Cell Phone Salesman, Tanning Booth Manufacturer, etc.) Talk to some adults to see what jobs they wanted when they were kids. We will share the list as a Troop at our 5/10 meeting.Girls needing more than one activity to complete this badge should do BOTH activities this week. You can use your GS Notebook.
