Activities Completed:
Tonight we talked about this Sunday's field trip to the Dell Diamond. I will be calling everyone with further details and also posting a packing list soon. Look for it by Wednesday.

Then we rehearsed our play. Girls were given scripts. Please have them look over them. They don't have to be memorized, and they can read from them during the play, but they need to have at least some idea what they are doing...

I asked Leroy if we can use the larger room with the stage and tables for our play presentation July 12, but the room will be occupied. We'll make due. Additionally, I got an e-mail notice that Council will be closed thru the 20th. There's a possibility the shop will be closed, too- meaning no Court of Awards for us on the 12th. Several girls have turned in completed Badge Worksheets.  I will see what I can do.

Notes:
The Volunteer Coordinator with Zilker's summer production of "Annie" finally got back with me. We can volunteer running the concession stand and handing out fliers. We can choose which night we want to go- we also get to watch the performance while we're there.

I need to call the sheriff's department back- they're going to help us with our trash pick-up.

Tonight we will rehearse our Bat Play. A loose version of the girls' script is available here.
Girls should bring in their costumes today:

Girls playing Scouts need their brownie vests, brown bottoms, their hat, and maybe a prop- like a trail guide, binoculars, or a back pack.

Girls playing bats need a bat costume. This can be as simple as cape and a headband with triangle ears glued on. Anything is fine.

We plan to perform our play Monday July 12, the next meeting after our Dell Diamond sleepover. However, I need to call the man who lets us into the church to be sure the large room with the stage is availkable and that we can have air-conditioning in there. We also plan to hold our next Court of Awards that evening. Please help your daughter complete any Bat Patch Activities that she may be missing (other than the play.)

Please turn in any completed Badge worksheets tonight (July 5) so that I may purchase them this week. If we need to change our performance/awards date, I will let you knoe ASAP.
