Original Post:

If you would like to volunteer as Snack Mom this week, please call Troop Leader Mandy...
It would be FABULOUS if everyone brought (storage worthy) snacks this week so that we always have something on hand. Please review the Troop Wish List for snack ideas and other Troop wants/needs.

Meetings will now be held at River Road Baptist Church (near the intersection of 969 and 130.)

At this meeting we will review the Girl Scout Promise, make Thank Yous for everyone who has helped our troop so far, read the Brownie Story, and discuss final cookie issues (how many we sold, what we plan to do with our funds, what prizes to expect, etc.) Please bring your final round of cookie money to the meeting. I must turn in our completed paperwork this week!

The girls will discuss their interests: What kind of Field Trips would we like to go on? What kind of Community Service Projects should we do? Which fun patch activities do we want to plan?

We will also discuss the SWAP project. (See SWAPs section in left side column.) In the coming weeks the girls will make SWAPs to give each other, and eventually make SWAPs to trade with other Girl Scouts.

Note about Next Week's Meeting:
I will have a handout for you this week, about Girl Scout Week(March 7-13). Girl Scout Week is a national week of recognition for the Girl Scout Movement. Our next meeting is Monday March 8. Monday is Homemaking Day of GS Week, so we will be doing a craft. March 12 is the Girl Scout Birthday, but we don't meet then, so we will be having our Girl Scout Birthday Party at our March 8 Meeting!
Girls are invited to bring a small gift for each of the other Scouts. Gift ideas include pencils, small toys, edible treats, and other party favors. The girls can wrap their gifts if they like. I will provide cake. If you have additional party ideas, feel free to share by leaving a comment below.
