Original Post:
Time: 6-7, parents needed at 6:45 for brief meeting
Where: I'm smoothing out the details on our meeting location. I will call everyone as soon as it's finalized.
What to bring: GS Handbook, Try-Its book, World Trefoil pin, a pencil, and don't forget to wear your uniform!

World Thinking Day: an annual Global Girl Scout Holiday! Each year on February 22, girls participate in activities, games and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries. This year's theme: "together we can end extreme poverty and hunger."

Our first meeting is Monday- February 22, 6-7. During the girls' portion of the meeting, we'll talk about what it means to be a Girl Scout and what World Thinking Day is about. If time allows, we will plan a community service project around this year's theme.

We need to have a brief parent meeting. I'd like to be sure each girl has a parent/guardian present at 6:45 so we can all be on the same page. The girls will be engaged in an activity and we can discuss dues, volunteer opportunities, and such.

World Thinking Day is the perfect day for your daughter to receive The World Trefoil Pin! Please bring it to the meeting. The World Trefoil Pin goes on the Insignia Tab, worn on the left side of the uniform.

World Trefoil Pin (WAGGGS pin)
On it are three leaves representing the Girl Scout Promise, with a flame that stands for loving all the people in the world. The compass needle is to guide you, and the two stars are the Girl Scout Promise and Law. The outer circle represents the World Association, and the golden yellow trefoil on a bright blue background stands for the sun shining over the children of the world.

*Parents, please leave a comment to answer these questions: Will your child be attending? Will you have the World Trefoil Pin at that time? Will an adult member of your family be present at 6:45?
