A Dream Is a Wish Lemonade Makes

Sunday May 1
10am-5pm

This is a post in progress...

Location: Vespaio parking lot, 1610 South Congress, across from the Hey Cupcake snack field.
Time: 10am-5pm. We can arrive as early as 9:30 for set up and can stay late if business dictates. You do not have to be there the entire time. Please RSVP your guesstimated time so I can ensure proper coverage.

What to Wear: All the kids will either be in Disney costumes or generic princess outfits (crowns, fancy dresses, tutus, tiaras, boas, jewels, makeup and fancy hair-dos.) Adults will also be festively dressed. We want to draw attention to ourselves and sell, sell, SELL!

What to Bring: A refillable water bottle. Sunscreen, sunglasses, a small bag to keep your stuff in. If you plan to stay a while, bring money for food. Enoteca and Vespaio are both owned by Scott Bolin who so graciously allowed us his parking lot. If you go in one of his restaurants mention that you're with the lemonade stand. I don't know that it will get you anything, but he said to mention it.

You can also choose to make some cookies to sell. No chocolate or goopy icing, as these will melt quickly in the heat. Sugar cookies with pretty sprinkles would be good, or oatmeal or peanut butter, etc. Do not feel obligated.

Help us advertise! Super Important and Super Easy! We have a public event listed on Facebook. Log in to your account and in the search box type "A Dream Is a Wish Lemonade Makes." If you are going, click "attending" and even if you are not going you can then click the option to invite guests- should be under the image of the lemons in Mickey Mouse hats. It'll bring up all your friends and you just click on all your Austin area friends. Encourage them to e-vite their friends as well.

You can also go to local groups/businesses facebook pages and post the link to our facebook event. I've done 365ThingsToDoInAustin, Austin Parenting Coach, Austin's Colony HOA, Good Day Austin, etc.

Other places we're listed:
Craigslist
AustinKidsGuide
KidzAustinEventz (although this one's main calendar mistakenly lists us for Sunday AND Monday. The link I provided here has accurate information.)

Feel free to forward any of the above links, share the facebook event, or go out and post your own ads. All the info you need is listed here. Disney World is super expensive. The more advertising, the better...

We are alsogoing to be interviewed by Brenda of YNN live on the Sunday morning news, way before the opening of our booth. And kristiner@gsctx.org will be doing a post about us on the Girl Scouts of Central Texas blog after we do the stand.
