Today we will begin work on our Bridging requirements. We'll be starting work on our first Junior badge, Your Outdoor Surroundings (pg. 126)
At this point you do not need to go out and buy the Junior books. However, if you happen to see them at Half Price Books, the thrift store, or a garage sale, go ahead.
GSUSA is changing the book format. The new books don't come out until school starts again, so we will just be using the old books over the summer. The books are filled with all sorts of fun activities and summer really is the best time for Girl Scouting.
Soon I will be handing out the info you need for Bridging. The girls will be changing uniforms at the end of June. If she has been working on some Brownie Try Its at home, now is the time to finish them up. We will have only one more Court of Awards as Brownies- and badges earned at the Brownie level do not go on the Junior vest.
