I will also be bringing tablecloths and our troop flag.
Location: Travis County East Metro Park- Indoor Pavilion, 18701 Blake Manor Road- Manor, TX
Time Table: 2pm- Arrive and Set Up. 3pm- Participants begin arriving. 6pm- Clean Up and Go Home.
The rally should be lots of fun. The girls get to take on their first Leadership role, as well as take turns participating in the other booths. If you cannot stay the entire time, please let me know prior to the Rally so I can ensure coverage at our table.
Attitude: Make new friends, but keep the old! All girls should come with upbeat, friendly attitudes. They'll be working with kids of all ages, so don't be shy. Making pudding is fun!
What do we do?
The point of the Rally is to gain new Girl Scout members and new Adult volunteers. The larger our Service Unit becomes, the more events and services it can provide. The Man in My Life Dance, the Juliette Gordon Lowe Birthday Bash, the Cookie Rallies- are all planned and carried out by girls in our local troops. Troop 1563 is in charge of the Christmas Event this year!At the Registration Rally, our girls will be teaching participants how to make Astronaut Pudding. We will need an adult or two supervising, but the girls will be doing the instructing. We will take turns working our table, as there will be many fun activities to do. PLEASE remember the Rally is for new Girl Scouts, so if a table is low on supplies, our girls should kindly yield to the new people.
Parents are invited to mingle. The Service Unit team will be in the Parent Room, and new parents in the Activity Area may have questions, so make yourself available.
Advertise: For those of you with Facebook, here is the link to the online invitation. Follow the link, click "I'm attending." Next, "Select Guests to Invite" and send it to parents of kids in Del Valle and Manor School districts.
If you have any questions- please let me know!
