Meeting Monday 2/28

The plan for Today:

• Plan our Girl Scout Birthday Party, in honor of Girl Scouting's 99th year. The very first Girl Scout meeting was held March 12, 1912. To celebrate, and to work on our "Her Story" Try It, we're inviting women who used to be Girl Scouts to come tell us their stories.

• Make Thank You's for Businesses that allowed booths during Cookie Season.

• Make Operation Cookie cards.

• Sign off on recent patch activities. (Bring your Badge Binder to every meeting!) Once 4 different activities per patch have been completed, girls fill out the bottom portion of the Badge Worksheet and turn it in. Patches will be given out at out next Court of Awards.

•   Make final decisions on End of Cookie Season outing. The girls will be treated to a food related activity, like going out for pizza, cupcakes, frozen yogurt, ice cream, etc. 

 Stuff That's Due Today:

• Your completed registration packet for the Service Unit's Wild Wild West Camp, as well as the associated fees. Scouts in our troop are $35. Adults are $65 each.  All adults MUST be registered with Girl Scouts, $12. The camp is May 13-15 at Camp Texlake.

• Your outstanding cookie money. Most of you should be turning in more than the minimum amount because of donations. To see the minimum amount you owe, visit our "cookies" tab. Multiply her "total individual" cookies by 3.5 and then deduct the money you have already deposited. Please check what I have against your own receipts. The information listed on our troop page is the same as what is in the Council database, and with Final Reports due this week we want to be sure everything is correct.

• If you still have unsold cookies we ask that you pay for them. Unsold cookies were due last week and have been sold. Our troop has a Zero Return Policy, meaning we do not return any to the Service Unit. This ensures that our troop will receive its bonus, and makes it more likely that we receive the Service Unit bonus.
