Dear Mandy:
We are looking forward to Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day tomorrow. We’re expecting close to 2,500 students our biggest event ever!
Event registration has now closed. Due to an overwhelming response of pre-registered participants, we DO NOT have space for additional non-registered students (this includes any substitutions for 1st-8th grade students).
We have reached capacity of our event. While still planning for 20% more attendees than last year, we have still have limited space and resources. Additional participants would exceed what we have available for Girl Day 2011 and would lessen the quality and experience of the event. Please help us out to have a great event and DO NOT BRING additional non-registered participants.
Pre-registered participant check-in will open at 1:30 p.m. and all activity rooms open at 2:00 p.m. We have tons of activities for the students to do and are looking forward to seeing everyone there.
I’ve included parking and check-in information below. For full details on what to expect look at my previous email.
**EVENT PARKING & DRIVING DIRECTIONS**
FREE parking is available ONLY at the Speedway Parking Garage (located at Speedway and 27th street) for Girl Day participants. We will NOT validate or offer free parking at any of the other UT parking garages.
You can get Speedway Parking Garage Directions at: http://tiny.cc/GirlDayparking. Right click on the red icon (Speedway Parking Garage) and select “Get Directions to Here” to enter your starting address.
**PRE-REGISTERED PARTICIPANT GROUP CHECK-IN**
All students must check-in first at the large white tent labeled “Check-in” outside of ETC (http://www.utexas.edu/maps/main/buildings/etc.html).
Sincerely,
~ Didey
