Today's meeting will probably be cut into. Another group is using the Community Center tonight. They begin at 7, but will be coming in to set up ahead of time. Hopefully we can finish our indoor activities by the time they arrive and move on to our Outdoor Games and not be affected.
ALL GIRLS NEED TO BRING WATER TO THIS MEETING! WE WILL BE OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT FOR PART OF THE MEETING.
Today is the last day we are working on our Bridging Requirements. Some of the girls are already done, others have a few activities left. Today, we plan to do Activities 3, 7, and 10- but we can only manage three activities if the girls are focused. Realistically we'll probably get two activities done. You are certainly welcome to work on her remaining activities at home and contact me as she completes them.
To receive the Bridging Badge (it looks like a rainbow) she must meet with a Junior Girl Scout AND complete a Junior Badge prior to the Bridging Ceremony. The Badge we've been working on is Your Outdoor Surroundings. Go here to view the Activity list.
Jessica said the Girl Scout shop now has Junior vests in stock. To see what it is you need for our Ceremony, go here.If you want to pre-order the new Junior book- "A Junior Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting"- go here. (Notice our own lovely Faith is featured on the homepage for the GSTCX on-line shop.)
Our ceremony is this Friday, June 24th, at ACC's Eastview Campus. We hope to get started at 6:30pm, with set-up at 6pm. If you want to help out, let me know. The detailed post for the ceremony should be up by Tuesday evening.
